awful product August 23, 2010 carlos 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
i bought this rod thinking it was of hight quality because all my fishing poles are shakespeare but this one broke in half just by trying it at home. the case is really good for traveling but now im stock with a case, a reel and a broke pole that i cant use. i hate this product
Great fishing pole July 28, 2010 amy schatz very nice rod is so big when unfolded and so small when folded. The line that it comes with tangles a lot so iI recomend buying some nice line with your order and comes with a really nice handy grey box that you can easily put it and and know it is safe. the box also has 8 little boxes to put stuff in. The only problem with the box is that to put it in you have to take the line off but the reel has a spot to connect it to. Thepole end it very thin so I am worried it will break on a big catch.
Broken before even used July 12, 2010 Scott Bliss (Wilmington, NC, US) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
At first I was pleased with its packaging. I loved the case/mini tackle box. But when I first expanded the telescoping rod in my living room, the last (thinnest) piece got stuck in the out position. I fought with it by hand for 15 minutes before I used pliers and a hammer to get it to slide back into place. Now one of the eyeholes is detached, there are toolmarks on the rod, and the foam on the handle has a hole in it from where the rod came out the bottom. I haven't even had a chance to use it yet and it has already been superglued.
Great for traveling July 8, 2010 Mr. Michael H. Missios (USA) Great combo for the money. It is lightweight but we caught a 17 inch fish in Delaware Bay! The case is a plus because you can carry your hooks and lures in it.
Freakin' Awesome July 2, 2010 Em I bought this because I'm in the Navy and I move around a lot, so I needed something compact, yet still of good value.

br /It comes nicely packaged in a kit box. I found it surprising how small the box is, you wouldn't suspect a 6'6" pole out of the rod.

br /The quality of the rod seems sturdy and of decent quality. It's lightweight and I don't think you'd have to worry about rough handling. My boyfriend man handles anything he touches and my rod was still fine :-) yay!

br /I haven't used it yet since I'm out at sea, but once I get back to land, you betcha I'll be out on the water.
